For all the light

Found a pair of, from what I can tell, early 70s Hella 500 lights while cleaning out my Grandpa’s shed this summer. Finally found a home for them.

A few more lights and it’ll be time for an alternator upgrade.

Maybe I’ll eventually finish the behind the grill lights I started for my truck.

I’d be lying if I told you they’ve never been used for that reason. Just like my rear facing pods have never been used for tailgaters.....

It may be done in stages depending on the other vehicle’s “brightness”.
Usually the lower set comes on, then the upper set, if neither of those get the point across, this seems to:

To your friend: I’ve heard they’re for tailgaters and people behind with high beams in your mirror to be used in place of a “brake check”.

It reminds me I want to put a 1,000,000 lumen LED light bar on my mazda 3 just for the Jeep bros who routinely blind me with their dumb ass LED light bars. Please note that I actually bright flashed a city cop driving around with his brights on.

I’ve gotten a State Trooper on 2 different mornings in the last week or so. He’s always cruising down the interstate with his brights on. This morning he didn’t get the hint until the bar came on.
Then I realized it was the Trooper and figured he’d be turning around but he never did.

I never run my bar unless I’m on dead roads, I don’t wanna be one of the Jeep bros.
